Pet name: Critter
Racing Name: Glb's Critter
DOB: 01/28/00
Cat Safe: No
Small Animal Safe: NO

Critter should have been named chatter, once her pretty brown eyes open she is chattering her teeth. She is just a very happy girl! Critter has retired from two careers; she raced a 121 races and then raised a litter of puppies. She is now looking for a home to call her own with a soft pillow.

Critter is a pretty red girl with a touch of black on her face and eyebrows, a white chest, toes and a white tip on her very long tail. Link to Greyhound-Data

Pet Name: Carmen
Racing Name: Slatex Jet
DOB: 02/17/04
Small Dog Safe: Yes
Cat Safe: Yes

Carmen is a beautiful White and Red 3 1/2 year old Greyhound.  That wants nothing more than her own family to love her.  If you do not let her sleep on the bed with you, she will try to sneak up there when you are asleep.  She ran 62 races in her career but she only came in 1st in 5 of them.  She came in 5 times in 2nd place and 11 times in 3rd.  Link to Greyhound Data where you may check out her lineage.

Occasionally we get "special needs" dogs that need extra medical attention.  To help defray these extra costs, we have set-up a special fund for these dogs.  If you would like to contribute, please contact us at info@gpanorthtexas.com or use the PayPal Button.

Pet Name: Toffee
Racing Name: LD Lock N Load
DOB: 04/04/00
Small Dog Safe: Yes
Cat Safe: Yes

Toffee is a handsome Dark Brindle boy with a grey muzzle, white feet and tip of his tail.  Toffee knows he was breed for racing, just pick up a muzzle or collar and he just knows he is going to a race. He ran a 159 races and was in the money most of the time. Toffee is a very easy going boy which is a good thing since he is a built stocky.  As for cats, he thinks they make too much noice and he can not be bothered with them.  Link to Greyhound-Data

Pet name: Rusty
Racing Name: Mcp's Walt
DOB: 06/08/01
Small Dog Safe: Yes
Cat Safe: Yes

Rusty was not cooperating when we tried to take these pictures of him.  He is a lot better looking in person.  Rusty is the only Greyhound that I have seen with black muzzle, legs and tail with a Brindle body.  Rusty is the type of dog that goes with the flow unless you are a rabbit.  Rusty lived in a home for over a year with Pistol (who has already been adopted), their being returned was not their fault.  The family was moving and could not find a house that would let them rent with 2 big dogs.  While he was in his home he lived with a toddler.  It took him a little while to warm up to the child but he did, he would rather live with old children that will play with him or a family with no children that will baby him. Pet Name: Holly
Racing Name: Kiowa Hawk Holly
DOB: 01/22/03
Small Dog Safe: Yes
Cat Safe: Yes

Holly is a very happy little Brindle girl with a white stripe that starts on her chin, goes down her throat and ends at a white patch on her chest.  She also has a tip on her tail and back feet.  Holly's nick name is Happy Holly, she will wag her tail when you speak to her.  She has also smiled a few times at her foster mother.  Holly is a little stocker than most Greyhounds and she does not look very graceful when she runs, this maybe why she only won 1 of the 14 races she ran.  It has not taken her long to decision that she would like to have her own soft dog pillow and a family to love her.  Holly is housebroken and cat safe. Pet Name: Jilly
Racing Name: Unknown
DOB: 06/02
Cat Safe: No
Small Dog Safe: No

Jilly is a Fawn Brindle. She was trained to be a racer but unfortunately her owner/breeder became sick and passed away before she was able to prove if she could be a good racer. Jilly loves to play with toys and would do better in a home with either another dog or children to help her exercise.
